How we verify
In short
Every legal status on this site is read from the Poisons Standard itself, not from another website.
We are not doctors, we do not review anything clinically, and we say so on every page rather than implying otherwise.
Who writes this
Peptide Directory is written and maintained in-house. Pages are published under the site rather than under an individual byline, and no page carries clinical review. Where something requires clinical judgement, we say that it does and point you at someone qualified instead of answering it.
Where the legal status comes from
Australian scheduling is taken from the current Therapeutic Goods (Poisons Standard) Instrument on the Federal Register of Legislation. We read the instrument, not a summary of it. Each compound page names the exact version it was checked against and the date it was checked.
This matters more than it sounds. While building this site we found the claim that Melanotan II had been reclassified as a prohibited substance repeated across several peptide sites. It is not true in the current Poisons Standard. Every one of those pages would have told a reader something false about their legal position.
What we will not publish
- Dosing protocols. Most of what is listed here cannot lawfully be supplied for human use in Australia, and publishing administration instructions for it is not something a reference site should do.
- An evidence rating we cannot show you. If a claim is not sourced, it does not get a confidence label attached to make it look sourced.
- Anything that reads as a recommendation. Nothing here suggests taking any substance, including the approved ones.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we would rather know. Every compound page records the exact instrument version and the date it was checked, so an error can be traced to a specific reading rather than argued about in the abstract.
When we correct a regulatory claim we change the page and say what changed, rather than editing quietly. The Poisons Standard is remade roughly every four months, so a status that was right in one edition can be wrong in the next. Re-checking each edition is part of maintaining this site, not an occasional tidy-up.
How this is funded
We sell nothing, and no listing on this site is paid for. Outbound links to vendors and clinics are marked nofollow and earn us nothing.
